Eid Al-AdhaPosted by Mazrul Hisyam (Johor, Malaysia) on 20 December 2007 in Lifestyle & Culture. Eid al-Adha is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, under the order of Allah. It is one of two Eid festivals celebrated by Muslims, whose basis comes from the Quran. It is also called the "bigger" Eid because it is considered more important than Eid el-Fitr.
